The document attesting to the absence of state registration of the applicant’s marriage in the state archive (“EGR ZAGS”) can only be obtained in Russia (including by proxy).

If the applicant has changed the surname, name, or surname, the certificate of the change of surname (name, surname) issued by the Civil Status Office must be presented to the Consulate General.

Please note that in addition to the documents mentioned above, the future spouse must produce a declaration of absence of impediments to be presented and signed before the Russian consular officers.

As your wedding planner we will provide you the document for this specific procedure.

Depending on the Consulate inquired, it may be necessary to book an appointment for the nulla osta for marriage purposes using the official website or in person.

In both scenarios, as your local wedding planner agency in Italy, we will act on your behalf to issue the Nulla Osta, book appointments, and provide the necessary assistance to the competent Prefettura for the legalization of the signature of the Russian consulate and assist you along the procedure in the town hall selected.

The certificate is issued in Italian approximately in five days. However, please note that delivery time could be quicker depending on the official availability.

Please note that from 9 March 2021, the Russian Federation has adhered to the Convention of London of 7 June 1968 on the abolition of the legalization of the signature on documents issued by diplomatic or consular agents; hence the Russian Nulla Osta issued in Italy does not need any legalization in the Prefettura.

Once the marriage is performed in the Italian town hall selected by you, you can leave the marriage certificate to us, and we will proceed with translation and legalization in order to have the Italian marriage certificate recognized in Russia.
